About The Indigo Adults

A list of the most common signs, traits, and characteristics of indigo Adults. The more of these traits one has the more likely they are to be an indigo. The indigo children will also share most of these traits.

Inclined to have strong intuitive abilities; highly developed insight.

Often feeling misunderstand; may have issues related to self esteem (especially as a child or young adult)

Have a preference for solitude and a deeply introspective nature; may have been withdrawn or shy as a child.

Has strong passion and vision; a desire to 'make the world a better place'

Often has a strong interest or involvement in humanitarian or political organizations, groups and events, community and charities.

May have sensitivities to the environment, chemicals, food, allergies, etc.,. Most indigos tend to be health conscious to some degree; many become vegetarians also due to their connection with animals.

May also have sensitivities to EMF fields or experience unusual phenomena such as electrical equipment malfunctions or lights flickering when they are around (Often when they are in a highly emotional state).

High emotional/psychic sensitivity; empathic in nature.

Can be prone to bouts of anger (especially in regards to any percieved injustices. Usually highly opinionated; can appear high-strung; over-emotional at times or highly reactive.

Meditative and contemplative; daydreams or visualizes often.

Feels things on a deeper level than most or ponders the deeper meaning of things from an early age.

Like the indigo children, the indigo adults are often labeled with Attention deficit discorder (A.D.H.D) or may have autistic tendencies.

Developed abstract or complex thinking at a young age; may tend to over-analyze or have 'scattered focus', although can have laser-like focus when they need to.

Has a deep empathic nature; sensitive; Highly aware and in tune to other people and to their surroundings. Can also be very much in tune with non-physical or subtle energies.

Is usually highly intelligent; was very bright as a child even though they may have struggled in school.

Has a highly inquisitive nature; a 'truthseeker'; questions things on a deep level; may enjoy research and learning.

Tends to have, or prefers having a few close friends rather than many aquaintances; may dislike crowds; doesn't necessarily like to socialize except with whom they feel comfortable with or who have similar interest/awareness.

Can often have difficulty in mainstream type jobs or careers; prefers to work alone, or in leadership positions; enjoys working at home.

Usually has a aversion to the many outworn belief systems and roles, or negative structures found within society; often dislikes labels, including the term 'indigo'.

Can have a strong dislike for systems they consider broken, ineffective or imbalanced, ie. political, educational, medical, and legal.

Has a deep connection and appreciation for nature, much like the indigo children; An interest or feels a special connection with animals, plants, trees, rocks and crystals.

Many will have a strong interest or talent for music, art, poetry, crafts or design.

Can be very sexually expressive or reject sexuality out of boredom; may desire to achieve a higher and deeper spiritual connection with another when it comes to sexuality, or may explore alternative types of sexuality.

May have a history of depression or struggle with anxiety; may be more prone to addictions or harmful forms of escapism.

May be unusually gifted or talented in many areas, or have extreme passion and interest in certain fields/topics.

Will usually have a strong interest in spirituality, metaphysics, and other related subjects even starting from a very young age.

Usually an 'old soul'; a wisdom beyond their years (especially as a child), or very mature for their age;

Often feels alienated from others at times (especially as a child or young adult).

A tendency for isolation; may isolate them selves from other either through agression or through introversion.

May have sleep related issues; Prone to insomnia, restless sleep; vivid dreams and even visions.
